Erm. Here's a site guide.

Click the button you want to select. Click again to deselect. The faithful computer faeries will then offer you all the corresponding fics. See? Easy.

To make your selection EXCLUDE a certain tag, select all the criteria you would like, then select and deselect (again) the tags that you don't want to see. I'll make a GIF to demo this in a day or so.

If you want to submit your own fic(s), here's a link to the form I'm using to collect them! A recommendation of someone else's work, your own -- it doesn't matter.

OK. Here's the deal.

Chose not to use warnings: warnings may apply, but the author chose not to assign them to their work.

NSFW: sexual content.

BDSM: anything that has themes of BDSM. Works with this may not have any sexual content at all, but can still feature a dom/sub dynamic (for example).

Underage: a relationship with/inappropriate behaviour with an individual under the age of consent. This typically includes people at 15 to 17 years old.

Proship umbrella: bestiality, severe underage, horribly unhealthy dynamics (in a sexual/romantic context)... anything blatantly proship, basically.

Rape/non-con: non-consensual acts, sexual or otherwise.

Violence: references to/not a lot of focus on gore. This can include non-graphic murder.

Gore detail: detailed descriptions of wounds, harm and death.

Major character death: a character with major plot importance dies.

Substance abuse: the recreational use of drugs and alcohol.

Familial abuse: the abuse of a character by their friends and/or family.

In case the way this works isn't intuitive enough, here's the rundown:

The percentages correspond to how much of the story is sexual content. 20% would also include implied content, if not explicit.
Skippable/unskippable corresponds with whether or not you can skip the sex and still be able to understand the plot.

This is a bit of a novel classification, so here's the explanation:
On a scale of one to five, each fic is rated by how happy it makes you feel AT THE END.
0 = fluff, joy, amazing and nice feelings
5 = angst, everyone dies, awfulness and devastation

So, yea. That's how that works.
The additional ? rating is... if there's not really an emotion that you're guided towards feeling (e.g. a ridiculous crack fic). Alternatively, it's for if an ending could be interpreted as either happy or sad. Take into account the other warnings when you see a ? fic.

Long summary and author's summary Hannibal, an extremely sexist alpha, is under the impression that the partner waiting for him once he arrived home from a decade at war would be a woman. Instead, he finds Will -- an omega whose father and identical twin schemed to have sent to be wedded in his sister's place. He leaves his estate for six more years, leaving Will to stew in self-doubt and loneliness. Once Hannibal returns under concern for his grandfather's ill health, he finds that Will has changed; no longer the nervous, young child that he was before, Will slowly shows Hannibal where exactly he can shove his prejudice against omegas. Slow burn, a lot of agony, but overall an overwhelmingly sweet story. Turns into a bit of a murder mystery at times, and leaves the reader plenty of room to guess where the plot will go next.
